The complex, fine-tuned, and proven curriculum has been successfully introduced into several academic environments, with an abundance of educational materials, tools, and resources available. Additionally, National Diversity at Kaiser Permanente will be able to offer internal content expertise to guide the formation of partnerships similar to the one we have with CCSF and other colleges, as well as guide and facilitate the implementation of the training program and, in the course, provide the necessary technical assistance.

Specifically, KP's facilities offers great opportunities for good training ground of health care interpreters and can aid in the recruitment of a diverse workforce. This type of program helps establish KP as a cutting-edge leader in diversity health care services, clearly distinguishing us from other organizations.

Our ability to communicate with our members in their language of choice when seeking care is critical and has a direct impact on their health outcomes. The collaborative efforts between KP and accredited educational institutions help promote a balance of supply and demand, with the colleges supplying KP with academically-trained health care interpreters, who, upon graduation, will not only be great assets to their respective communities, but will be well-prepared to meet KP's expectations in employment of culturally and linguistically competent health care professionals.
