The Alliance of Community Health Plans recognized the Health Care Interpreter Certificate Program (HCICP), along with KP’s Qualified Bilingual Staff Model, for Making the Business Case for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services in Health Care in 2006.
In 2007, America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) awarded KP their Innovation and Excellence Community Leadership Award for the HCICP.
In 2009, NLCP’s “Language & Culture Series: Health Care Interpreter Training Program” was awarded the 30th Anniversary Classic Telly Award. This award was specially presented to recognize the 30th anniversary of the Telly Awards and was awarded to fewer than 3% of all work submitted since 1978.
